Why ATLAS

At ATLAS Space Operations, we are working to change the way an entire industry looks at global satellite connectivity and data alike. ATLAS is developing the largest U.S.-owned and U.S.-operated federated
global antenna network. We connect humanity through space by advancing ground software technology and providing managed satellite communication services that are as simple to use as connecting to the internet.

Changing the game takes serious talent. That’s why ATLAS is always on the lookout for the best and brightest. We’re looking for passionate, hard-working leaders to join our team as we continue to grow.

Our Core Values

At ATLAS, our greatest asset is our team members. We are grateful for their contributions on a daily basis. They are an integral part of our past, present, and future.

There are core values that many companies share such as Integrity, Innovative, Teamwork, Initiative, etc. All are great principles that employees identify with at many organizations. We share these values. However, what has made ATLAS unique in our industry, also makes us a unique place to work. We see the following core values as those that distinguish us from the others.

Just Get Started

ATLAS values employees that can make effective decisions despite ambiguity. Do not lose time overanalyzing because there is almost no amount of analysis that will end in the perfect answer. Make the best decision you can based on the cost, risk, and additional information you have, share with peers, and pivot as quickly as possible. If you Fail - Fail forward, learn, and move on.

Be Accountable

At ATLAS, we value accountability, doing your job completely, with quality and on time. ATLAS employees have relentlessly high standards and drive everyone to deliver high quality work. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure all that we do is of the highest quality possible for both our teammates and clients.

Do the Right Thing

Doing the right thing and integrity go hand-in-hand with being accountable. The ATLAS code includes honesty, respect, and trust in each other. Our integrity is the most crucial ingredient in forming the ATLAS culture and, just as important, the appearance we give to our clients. We must treat all clients as teammates in space exploration.

Charge Toward the Problem

At ATLAS, when a problem arises, we fix it. When a fix is not obvious, we collaborate. When a fix seems impossible, we reframe the problem and find a solution. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure problems get defined immediately, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure a solution is in place.

Go Together

At ATLAS, as we charge toward problems, difficulties, and challenges, we don’t go alone, we go together. We are in a complex market with complex solutions. It takes everyone working together to overcome the toughest of challenges we face. Going together means leadership, coordination, communication, utilizing ATLAS standards, honest dialogue, and the commitment to enabling each other to succeed. By doing so we not only succeed as individuals, but as a team and company.

Think Big

ATLAS is competing against well established companies with deep pockets, and decades of customer relationships. Now, we are swimming in the same pool as newer market entrants such as Amazon and Microsoft. While we cannot compete in dollars we can compete with experience, ingenuity, and nimbleness. Do not be afraid to think big and throw away prior assumptions. Look for root causes to problems that we can solve in new ways. ATLAS does not provide patchwork one off solutions, we provide long term, industry leading solutions. Be the change the industry needs to connect humanity to space.

Become the Expert

At ATLAS, becoming the expert means finding your passion, running with it, and making yourself indispensable to your teammates and clients. It requires personal commitment to eliminating gaps in knowledge and skills. Space operations are highly technical and complex. While we will forever be students, continually learning and improving, we also strive to become the ATLAS expert and eventually the industry leader. It takes time, focus, and persistence. Being the expert can only happen when we embrace just getting started with excitement and the attitude of learning from our mistakes.
